Terms and conditions

The terms that apply when you use our website and engage our services.

1. About these terms

These terms and conditions apply to your use of the Bridge Speech Therapy website and to the speech pathology services we provide. By using this website or engaging our services, you accept these terms.

In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Bridge Speech Therapy, and "you" refers to the person using this website or receiving services, or their parent, guardian or authorised representative.

2. Our services

Bridge Speech Therapy provides speech pathology services for children, including assessment, therapy, telehealth, mobile services and consultation, from our clinic in Padstow, in the community and online where appropriate.

The information on this website is general in nature. It is not medical, health or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for an individual assessment. Every person's needs are different, and outcomes vary from person to person.

3. Enquiries and appointments

  • Submitting an enquiry through this website does not create a client relationship or guarantee an appointment.
  • Appointments are confirmed only when we have offered you a time and you have accepted it.
  • Please provide accurate and complete information so we can respond appropriately and provide safe, effective services.
  • Where the client is a child, the person making the enquiry or booking must have the authority to act on the child's behalf.

4. Fees, cancellations and funding

Our current fees are published on our fees and funding page. Fees may change from time to time, and we will give reasonable notice of any changes.

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please give us at least 24 business hours' notice, and no later than 10am on the business day before your appointment. For example, a Monday appointment needs to be cancelled by 10am on the Friday before. For NDIS-funded appointments, at least 48 business hours' notice before the appointment time is required. A cancellation fee may apply where appointments are cancelled, rescheduled or missed with less notice, as described on our fees page or in your service agreement.

Where services are funded through Medicare, private health insurance or the NDIS, you are responsible for confirming your eligibility and funding arrangements. Any gap or amount not covered by a funding body remains payable by you.

5. Telehealth

Telehealth sessions are delivered using secure video technology. You are responsible for providing a suitable device, a reliable internet connection and a private space for the session. If technology fails or telehealth is not clinically appropriate, we will discuss alternatives with you.

6. Communications consent

When you submit an enquiry, you may choose to opt in to receive communications from us, such as appointment reminders, service updates and information we think may be helpful. You can withdraw your consent and opt out at any time by contacting us or using the opt-out method provided in the communication.

We will only send marketing communications with your consent or where otherwise permitted by law, as described in our privacy policy.

7. Website content and intellectual property

The content on this website, including text, graphics and resources, belongs to or is licensed to Bridge Speech Therapy. You may view and print content for your own personal, non-commercial use. You must not reproduce, republish or distribute our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

8. Third-party services and links

We use reputable third-party providers to operate our practice, including Splose for practice management, and providers for email, telehealth, accounting and payments. Our website may also link to external websites. We are not responsible for the content, security or privacy practices of third-party websites and services, which operate under their own terms.

9. Liability

We take care to keep the information on this website accurate and up to date, but we do not warrant that it is complete, current or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, this website.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Privacy

We handle your personal and health information in accordance with our privacy policy, the Privacy Act 1988 and the NSW Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page, and continued use of the website or our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
