Speech therapy for children
Children
We support communication, learning and everyday participation, from early words to school skills.
When to get in touch
You do not need to wait and see. Early support helps, and an assessment can simply tell you that everything is on track.
- Your child is hard to understand, at home or at preschool.
- Your child says fewer words than you expect for their age.
- Your child repeats sounds or words, or gets stuck when talking.
- Mealtimes are difficult, or your child eats a very small range of foods.
- Your child finds it hard to join in with other children.
- Reading, spelling or writing is harder than you expected at school.

How therapy works for families
We start with an assessment, then set goals with you. Sessions are play-based and practical, and we share strategies you can use at home.
We can also work with your child's preschool, school and other professionals, with your consent. See fees and funding for costs, or read our frequently asked questions.
